DMV requires home-trained applicants to show evidence of completing an eight hour course on: The nature and the medical, biological and physiological effects of alcohol and drugs and their impact on the operator of a motor vehicle, the dangers associated with the operation of a motor vehicle after the consumption of alcohol or drug abuse, the penalties for alcohol and drug-related motor vehicle violations.
Liberty offers the 8 hour Safe Driving Coarse otherwise known as Drug and Alcohol Class. This class is mandated by the DMV for all new drivers.
Included in this class is a 2 hour parent section where the student and parent discuss Connecticut driving laws that pertain to driver’s under 18.
Once the student and parent have completed this course the will be issued a CS1.
